NOVA Visit

While Daddy was away from work we took a trip to Northern Virginia to visit some family and friends.  Our first stop was to Mommy's friend, Becky's house.  We were stationed in Charleston together and have both moved on to new locations.  Her husband is currently working in the Pentagon as an ambassador to Australia and New Zealand.

Genevieve meeting baby Owen again. They are just six days apart. Our friend, Gina, gave us each these beautiful blankets with their name and birthdate.

After our visits with the Burke's, we headed across town to Mommy's college friend, Lindsay's house, where Genevieve got to meet another buddy, Emma, just a month younger than her.  They got up close and personal pretty quickly.

For our last stop, we went to see Aunt Grace and Uncle Ron.  Colin and Genevieve had a grand time crawling around their front yard and taking advantage of the beautiful weather with a wonderful walk through their neighborhood trails.

We had such a great time seeing so many friends and family members! How cute are these travel buddies?

Shawnee Weekend

Nana and Grandpa graciously invited us to spend the weekend with them at Shawnee in the Poconos. We couldn't have asked more beautiful fall weather.

The grounds of the Shawnee Inn are absolutely gorgeous! If you look closely you can see a wedding from afar.

Like his Momma, Colin is happiest after a day out in the woods.  Can this smile get any bigger?

A great weekend was had by all, especially little Colin.   How adorable is he in Grandpa's shoes and hat?

Genevieve is 7 Months!

7 Months old and Genevieve has finally decided exactly which fingers are her favorite.... and the winners are right hand index finger and middle finger.  They keep her happy so Mommy is happy although I have to admit I hope she cuts the habit before she's ten and doesn't follow in her Momma's footsteps.

This month is all about being on the move! Genevieve has learned to crawl and has even begun to pull herself up.

Sometimes she even wakes in the middle of the night to work on her moves...

Genevieve LOVES to eat... she's one of the messiest eaters I've ever seen but she's also one of the happiest too!

She's also taken a liking to eating some non-edible items as well...

Mommy is absolutely adoring every second she gets to spend with this sweet munchkin. She is my little buddy and I love kissing up on her each day.

Daddy's Work
