Adventures with Auntie Tess & Auntie Kate

After Aunt Jen and Aunt Veronica left Mommy only had to spend one night alone before the next round of caregivers arrived.  Auntie Tess and Auntie Kate flew down and could not wait to get their hands on baby Colin...and Lilly too!

We spent our first day together at the beach. It was an absolutely beautiful day.  Colin peacefully slept through the whole trip just like his first time at the beach.

Showin' off his shades:

Looking cool with Mommy (while still completely passed out):

Lilly always has to get in on the action:

Feeling the ocean water for the fiirst time:

All together under the pier:

The next day Mommy was still feeling very under the weather from the infection so we lounged around all day. By evening time we were ready to go out but not without a fashion shoot beforehand:

Cuddling with Auntie Tess at our favorite Italian restaurant, Cuoco Pazzo:

The next morning Colin had his one month doctor's appointment (more on that to come) then we headed for a walk in downtown Charleston.

We stopped in a cute cafe on East Bay for tea and a delicious lunch:

Posing in front of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge (it's a little hard to see it in the background):

Our last day in Charleston was August 16 so we celebrated Colin's one month birthday!  We began the evening with another photoshoot and ended it with blowing out (or should I say trying to blow out) a birthday candle.

Auntie Tess and Auntie Kate are such wonderful friends that they flew down one way so that they could make the long journey up north in the car with Colin, Mommy, and Lilly...oh yea and a TON of luggage.
Auntie Tess making the best of it in the back seat...don't pay attention to the forced smile : )

Auntie Kate driving the whole gang:

Colin enjoying the ride. (He rarely uses the pacifier but did use it a few times during the drive):
We woke up at 3:30AM, we were on the road by 5AM and we made it to home at 5PM - not bad! Colin did a fabulous job during the drive! We stopped to feed him three times and were able to combine one of our stops with lunch. If the car was moving he was sleeping. We could not have asked for it to go any better!

I could not have done the drive or gotten through the time while Daddy was away without Tess and Kate. Thank you girls!
