Genevieve is 8 Months!

8 Months Old Today!
Month 7 will forever go down as the nursing fiasco.  I could write a novel about how it all went down but I’ll try to sum it up.  Genevieve didn’t seem to want to nurse. I worried she wasn’t eating enough and gave her a bottle.  She liked the bottle better when her teeth hurt.  Nursing sessions became less and less frequent and then they just stopped.  I ended up devastated and now I’m trying to get my milk back.  What a mess! Looking back, I think it was all related to teething and I wish I would have dealt with the root of the problem instead of just giving a bottle but hind sight is 20/20.
So why didn’t I realize she was in a lot of pain from her teeth/mouth?  Because she’s the happiest, sweetest baby who usually looks like this:

Along with being happy and sweet, Genevieve is wild. She is quite the mover and hit lots of milestones this month which included…

sitting up on her own:

crawling on all fours:

pulling herself to a standing position:

and crawling up steps:

Although baby girl loves to move, she’s always willing to slow down and get some cuddles.  She still spends time almost every day in the wrap and I eat up every second of it.

Genevieve has tried even more foods this month.  She is now open to a larger variety of foods and textures...her favorite being carrots and least favorite bananas.

Oh and in case you were wondering...she still loves those fingers!
