Easter

I just had to start out this post with Genevieve's sweet Somebunny Loves Me shirt.  Speaking of bunnies, we didn't visit the Easter Bunny or read any books about Easter so, unlike Santa, Colin was pretty clueless as to what this whole basket/egg thing was all about.  Fortunately, the Easter Bunny and Nana got him some great books so he can read up for next year.  (Of course, Easter is really about Jesus and not the Easter Bunny.  I'm proud to say Colin knows all about Jesus thanks to his Bible from Aunt Ellen which he likes to read almost every day.)
The Easter Bunny did a good job!
Colin's Basket
Genevieve's Basket
The Bunny left Colin a chocolate chick...
Elmo easter eggs filled with cookies (two of his favorite things!)...
and his very own (e-i-e-i-o) farm complete with farmers and farm animals.

Colin absolutely adores this farm.  He has played with it more than he has played with any other toy he's recieved.

Genevieve was busy nursing when we were doing baskets so no pictures however we were able to capture a few shots when we returned home from church.

And we were finally able to get a few of both kiddos together as well...
Genevieve is already being tortured by her big bro...
Wet willies anyone?
We are so blessed this Easter season!

Family Photo Shoot

So it wouldn't be fair unless I showed you what Colin really looked like for this photo shoot.  Less than 24 hrs before the shoot he ran (hard) into the corner of a wall. Poor little guy.
Thankfully with photo shop I knew I had nothing to fear...you can't even see the big gash in any of our photos.

Now if only could photo shop in a smile...

All in all, even with a less than cooperative Colin, we got some great photos.  I especially loved this impromptu Cat in the Hat one.  I love how the book is The Cat in the Hat Comes Back and how you can see The Cat peaking from behind Colin's shoulder.  This one is gonna be printed for his room for sure!
We got some wonderful shots of our gorgeous little girl...

We had to sneak in Lilly too:
I love that we got some of Genevieve on our bed since it's her favorite place to be.
She loves to cuddle up and smell mommy and daddy.

The whole gang:

A few more of the little man:

And its all because two people fell in love!  :)

Aunt Jen meets Genevieve

Not long after Mimi and Pappy left town, Aunt Jen joined us for a few days during her Spring Break.  Things started getting a little harder with two and I was sooooo incredibly thankful to have her help.
Wash dishes, change diapers, run around outside with Colin, snuggle with Genevieve, restock toilet paper...whatever I needed Aunt Jen made it happen.

She even watched Genevieve for us while the rest of the fam went to church.
She took the opportunity to snag a self portrait of her and Genevieve..

As you can see Genevieve was pretty happy to have Aunt Jen visit.  What about Colin??....I think that grin tells it all.

We wouldn't have made it through our family photo session without Aunt Jen either.  Fortunately, we were even able to snag a few of her with the little man.

Thanks Aunt Jen for everything!  It is always a joy to live with you, even if it's just a for a few days!
