Colin Playing

There is no denying that Colin is extremely perceptive and aware.  While playing flash cards today we came across two cards that reminded Colin of his Mimi.  When he saw the shoe card below he excitedly shouted, "Mimi's shoes!". Sure enough Mimi has a pair of blue Keds very similar to the ones pictured.  When we got to the phone card he again shouted, "Mimi's phone!" Once again, he was correct as Mimi has a Blackberry for work just like the one in the photo.

Eventually we came to the following card...

at which time Colin persistently shouted, "Daddy's jacket!".... We're still trying to figure that one out.

Say Cheese

One day while playing in the exersaucer, Genevieve took a liking to the "phone" attached.

Colin decided to quickly check it out for himself...

...at which time it went from being a phone to a camera.  He took his cues from Mommy as he sweetly told Genevieve, "Say Cheese."

I guess someone is used to Mommy taking lots of pictures with her phone.

Genevieve Meets Uncle Hunter

While Colin napped one day, Genevieve had her first one on one Skype session with Uncle Hunter.  She loved every second of it.  She looked right at him and really interacted.  We are sad Uncle Hunter is so far away but so thankful for this technology tool to help us feel closer.

Last Days of Summer

Summer is coming to a quick end. We took advantage one evening with a pizza dinner outside.

                            

Sesame Place

A few weeks after getting settled in New Jersey we took a day trip to Sesame Place with the Bonano Family.

We had a little water fun, saw a few shows, and went on a few rides. All and all a fun day was had by all.

Genevieve is 6 Months!

Our baby is half a year old!  She is so full of spunk and always ready with a giant smile on her face.

Colin loves his little sister...

So much so he has even shown his affection with a giant bite on her hand..... :( Sad to say this won't be the last time he tortures his poor little sister...

Much to Mommy's dismay, once Genevieve got a bottle a few weeks ago, she really took to it. She has been slow to nurse and quick to get her hands on a bottle.  Colin and Genevieve like to take "milk breaks" together in the middle of playing.

The other big change this month is the introduction of solids. Genevieve has taken to this introduction with ease.  Her favorite thing to do after each spoonful of food is stick a few fingers in her mouth to suck.
