Beach Week #1 & Colin's Birthday

After our short stay in York, we moved on to our next destination, Ocean City, MD to Mimi and Pappy's condo.  It'd been a year since Colin was riding the waves with Aunt Jen but they didn't skip a beat.

Colin and Aunt Jen had a blast in the pool too.

Genevieve had her first documented dip in the pool.  For how much she loves the bath she is still a little unsure the giant tub.  Daddy was there to hold her tight.

Genevieve is happiest settled into one place so although she spent some time outside the condo most of her time was spent inside...

and (drum roll please) learning to roll over.

Although we spent most of our time at the condo or out on the beach, we took one day and had a special outing.  We visited one of Mimi's friends at her house and then spent the rest of the afternoon on the boardwalk.

We made sure to hit on all the "must-do's" on the boardwalk.

& Soft-Serve Ice Cream (Colin can thank Mimi for that one).

Colin can also thank Mimi for taking him crabbing for the first time.  She had been looking forward to doing this with the little man all summer.

"Look what I caught!"
Someone decided he was finished crabbing.
We had lots of birthdays to celebrate during our beach week.  First up was Colin's and Mommy's.  The day before our birthday, Aunt Jen watched both kiddos so Mimi, Pappy, Mommy and Daddy could go out for Mommy's 30th Birthday.  It was such a fun evening complete with a very yummy dinner (and dessert!).

The highlight of the week was definitely celebrating Colin's birthday.

Cupcakes brought from the Cupcakery near our new house!

Colin LOVES his cupcakes!!

After cake and presents the rest of the day was spent hanging out at the beach.

This photo is from post-meltdown.  Sometimes birthdays can be too much to handle.

Baby girl made it out on the beach for brother's big day:

It was such a fun filled day that Colin was in bed long before sundown and unfortunately missed his Derry cousins singing him Happy Birthday.  Have no fear though, we captured the video for Colin to watch the next day.

Our last birthday celebration of the week was Aunt Jen's 20th!  Mommy and Colin made her a special lemon coconut cake from scratch.

Thinking real hard about that wish.

Thank you Mimi and Pappy for having us...all that fun made us a little sleepy!
