After listening for a few days to me talk about a double
stroller I reallllly wanted but wasn’t ready to pay for yet, Mimi offered to
get it for us. I was beyond excited and
couldn’t wait for it to come in the mail.
It is great for both kids and was perfect for our walks to Target during
our final weeks on Horseshoe Bend. It
proved to be very useful throughout our summer vacation.

With the upcoming move on our mind we (Daddy really) decided
that we should upgrade the Rav4 to a new van. After some research, we decided
on the Honda Odyssey. We took advantage
of one of Colin’s final days in school to pop over to the dealership for a test
drive. We were pleased and Mommy was
sold when she saw that it came in Hokie maroon, a good compromise color for
both of us.
On the day Daddy came home with the car, we let Colin stay up a little later than usual and he was so excited to “drive Daddy’s new car.” Mommy quickly taught him that it was Mommy’s car that Daddy gets to drive sometimes.
One of the main reasons we wanted
the van was all of the additional
space. We were thrilled with how much we
were able to fit in the van during our move north. Not only that, we can now hold
passangers! In the Rav it was next to
impossible to squeeze one additional person in between the two car seats. Now we can comfortablely sit 4 additional
people/car seats . The first person to
take full advantage of the extra space was Aunt Jen, who accompanied us on our
drive to the beach.
Daddy drove:
While Aunt Jen took the passenger seat:
And Mommy sat in the middle seat...
with the sleeping babies (oh how I love sleeping babies!):
I think everyone is happy with the new ride!
