Time to wash up!

Poor Genevieve had to wait a few days before her first bath at home.  Things get a little hectic and exhausting with a toddler plus Genevieve literally spent her first 48 hours at home sleeping.  I was not going to wake her from her sweet slumber just to give her a bath.

At first, I thought Colin could help me bath her so I set everything on the floor ready to go.  Turns out Colin was way too into the water and began flicking it in Genevieve's face.  I quickly realized this was not going to work and had to get Mimi to step in.
With Colin happily playing with playdough in his high chair, I was able to enjoy some sweet moments bathing my little girl for the first time.

I learned from Colin it is best to keep all parts that aren't being washed covered up with the towel.  This seemed to work really well and Genevieve was relaxed for her bath.
Her hair gets quite curly when wet!
Close up!
All cleaned up and cozy.  Doesn't this picture just make you want to hug her and give her a million kisses?
The bath must have tired her out.  She was asleep in no time.
As you can see, we've got ourselves a belly sleeper.  There is nothing we can do to stop it either.  Even when in a swaddle on her back she has managed to get nearly all the way over on her belly.  She loves to tuck her legs and arms underneath herself.  Ironically, although it took a long time to figure out, this is also Colin's favorite sleeping position.
I just can't get enough of how sweet and peaceful she is.
